Olive Tree Bible Software just released an iPad version of their BibleReader software.

“Olive Tree Bible Softeware provides Bibles and Bible study tools for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Palm OS, Windows Mobile (Pocket PC), and Symbian smartphones. The BibleReader™ application offers easy reading, quick navigation, bookmarking, rich formatting, customizable display, and powerful search capabilities.”

I was waiting for this version since I hate running iPad compatible pixel doubling for any app that I need to read content on.

Some of the features that I noticed right away:

  1. BibleReader uses EverNote (My favorite cloud based bookmark/note taker) to backup and sync my notes.
  2. You can name and add custom colors for marking passages.
  3. Powerful search.
  4. Bookmarks, of course.
  5. Managed bible reading plans.

BibleReader comes with a couple of translations, and you can buy many more including study tools.  Since the Amplified is my current favorite I bought it right away for $16.00.

So far I am very impressed with it, and look forward to putting BibleReader through its paces.

But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
